Uinsure Services

Uinsure was the first major GI provider to utilise a panel of B&C insurers via a common policy wording. Over the past 6 years, our panel offering has been continuously refined and currently consists of Ageas, AXA, RSA and UK General, all of whom share a common policy wording to simplify your compliance procedures.

With 99% postcode coverage, our panel product by design is suitable for the vast majority of clients who require protection for their possessions. High cover limits are teamed with a low policy excess to provide a quality product which is supported by UK based customer service and claims teams. Cover can be arranged and confirmed within minutes based upon the simplest question set and application process in the marketplace.

Who are Defaqto

Defaqto is a leading UK independent financial research company.

They independently rate over 500 car and home insurance policies. Their ratings range from one to five stars. Their Star Ratings are designed to help customers identify where a product or policy sits in the market in terms of the features and benefits it offers and the range of options available. Their in-depth Star Ratings process looks at the key features and benefits of every product or policy they rate.

Defaqto are completely independent and unbiased and never knowingly exclude a product or policy from their Star Ratings.

Why is a Defaqto 5 Star Rating important?

Buying home insurance can be a bit of a minefield, whilst its easy to compare products on price alone, its not always easy to understand what you’re getting for your money until its too late.

Defaqto Star Ratings help you to make informed decisions about getting the cover to suit your needs. A Defaqto 5 Star Rating gives you the reassurance that you’re buying quality cover that will deliver when you need it most.

Personal Possessions

Items your clients take outside your home are not covered automatically for loss, theft or damage by our contents insurance.

If you want to insure everyday items your clients take outside like mobile phones, watches, jewellery, laptops or pedal cycles they’d need to add personal belongings cover.

Their personal belongings will be protected anywhere in the European Zone, and for up to 60 days worldwide during any period of cover, so they'd be insured if they went on holiday.

There is a single article limit of £2,000 but individual limits apply for mobile phones (£500), personal money (£750), credit cards (£1,000) and pedal cycles (max any one cycle £1,000).

Items worth over £2,000 (or pedal cycles over £1,000) need to be individually listed via the quotation system. Cover for specified personal belongings is available up to £15,000.

Home Emergency Cover

Our Home Emergency Cover product assists callers with everyday home emergencies. Callers contact our team who will then source a tradesman on their behalf from a database of tradespeople, and arrange for them to call.

We regularly monitor the tradesmen on our database which means that your client can rest assured that any work to their property will be carried out to the highest quality.

The policy provides cover up to £300 per claim in the following areas:

  • Cover costs of the following household emergencies:
  • Burst pipes or sudden leakage likely to cause damage to the Home or its contents.
  • Accidental Damage, Break-in or Vandalism to external locks, doors or windows which compromises the security of the Home.
  • Pest Infestation. Removal of wasp nests, field and house mice and brown rats within the home.
  • Failure of your domestic water mains supply, gas supply, electricity, blockage or breaking or flooding of drains or sewers, or failure of your domestic hot water heating that is likely to cause internal water damage.
  • A leakage caused by a smashed toilet bowl or cistern. Breakage of the cistern internal mechanism which prevents flushing and creates an emergency if there is no other toilet in the home.
  • Lost Key where the only available Key to the Home has been lost, in order to gain normal access to the home.

Family Legal Expenses

Our Family Legal Protection policy is designed to help customers through difficult and often stressful legal situations by providing them with financial support and a 24-hour legal advice Helpline.
